Leonie Spitzer has studied visual arts and theatre studies at the IUAV in Venice and graduated with a destiction on her theoretical thesis on one of the first austrian female architects Margarete Schütte-Lihotzky, social architecture and interior design and a practical videowork on interculturalism: Did you ever think what language to use if you met Dante in Hell? in the Final Art Lab, curated by professor and curator Nicolas Bourriaud. The video was exhibited at Magazzini del Sale, in Venice in 2008. Subsequently she studied Interior Design at Chelsea College of Art and Design in London.
Ever since her graduation Leonie Spitzer works as an artist, photographer, cultural mediator and designed renowned Viennese interiors such as the bistro das Liebling, the fashion boutique useabrand and the vintage clothing shop Burggasse 24, as well as the frame workshop Bildwerkstatt Herr Leutner.
