What happens when the past is revisited and suddenly voices are clearly audible or positions that have long been a whisper in the margins or a picture in the box become visible? Where do madness and art meet and separate? And what does “Writing Herstory” mean? For three days, the author Natascha Gangl and the composers Maja Osojnik and Matija Schellander (aka the electroacoustic duo Rdeča Raketa) explain a room in Galerie 5020 as a resonance space for the artist Unica Zürn, a too often overlooked icon of surrealism their techniques and motifs to the present day and transfer them to other genres. In a daily morphing exhibition with graphic scores, visual poetry, video and sound works, windows open for performances, concerts, lectures, discourse and improvisation. Very different artists work on this playroom, inviting you to expand your perception and shift meanings.
