KNITTED TANK TOP / TUBE SCARF – hand made (+ downlaod code -> DOORWAYS)

Knitting is one of my favorite activities since i was a child. I used to draw patterns and followed instructions in books. In the past years i wanted to draw inspiration from automatic writing or painting and started to knit while listening to music or contemplating my compositions. I am sometimes combining colors and making layers of colors almost like wanting to translate clusters and layers of tones, other sounds and noise into a visual pattern. As i see this activity as up- and re-cycling, i am choosing from the palette of colors i managed to collect on sales or i got as left-overs from others, including my mother. Sometimes i buy really expensive add on wool, cause it feels, a knit needs that color no matter what. ; ) Some of the wool is original from 70-ies, 80-ies even.
There is no ugly sound, and there is no ugly color: It’s more about how do they reflect or react to their surrounding when combined. I avoid any acrylic wool, using only good and high quality wool. Every Piece is unique and takes a weak to be made, so please wash only by hand with wool shampoo in not too hot water. These are surprisingly warm tank tops, considering they don’t have sleeves, so they make really good friends in cold times…
